The busiest trains in Amtrak's system are the Northeast Regionals. This network of trains serves travelers from Southern Virginia all the way north to Boston, Massachusetts. In this video, we'll briefly discuss the system and then take a look at several trains in action at various points along the route. We'll see Regionals pulled by both ACS-64 electric locomotives along the Northeast Corridor as well as trains pulled by P42DC diesel electric units over the non-electrified portions of the route in Virginia and Connecticut.
