Nanette Wenger, MD, was one of the first women to graduate from Harvard Medical School. That was almost 70 years ago when experts believed heart disease was virtually a non-issue for women. How times have changed. Today, we know that heart disease affects almost half of women in the U.S. and is responsible for about one in every five female deaths.
