Did you know that there's etiquette for having a guest on your podcast? At the end of the day, your goal is for everyone to have a good time with your podcast - and that includes your guests!

So how do you make the best guest experience possible?

1) Do your research! Before you reach out, see what your guest is talking about online, see what other interviews they've given, and see what answers they've given to questions that you were potentially thinking of asking.

2) Send your questions ahead of time-NO WAIT DON'T SCROLL I PROMISE IT'S IMPORTANT! Sending questions ahead of time will increase your guest's comfort with your show, and will VASTLY cut down on the amount of filler you have to edit out.

3) Test your equipment beforehand! This should go without saying, but don't use your Very Important Interview as the first run of your new recording setup.

4) Send the guest the interview once you're done editing. This may be overkill, but it gives everyone - from your guest to their PR/representative a chance to look over the episode and give it their glowing approval. S
