Hazrat Abdullah ibn Abbas (radi Allahu anhu), a companion of the Holy Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam), says that Sayyiduna Rasoolullah (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) said that if a man recites the following Durood Shareef once, then for the coming 1000 days the Angels of Allah Ta’ala will be busy in writing reward for the reciter of this Durood.
This Durood Shareef is a very rewarding one. By reciting it only once, the Angels go on writing good deeds in the account sheet of the reciter for full 1 000 days. What a great reward and what a great return?
The Durood is the following:
جَزَی اﷲُ عَنَّاسَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدًاﷺ مَا هُوَ أُهْلُهْ
JAZ-ALLAHU ANNA SYEDINA MUHAMMADAN SAL-LAL-LAHU-ALAIHI WA SALLAM MA HUWA AH-LAHU.
“O Allah! Give reward to our Muhammad ﷺ the reward which is benefitting as he deserves”.
’’اللہ تعالیٰ ہماری طرف سے محمد مصطفی صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کو وہ جزائے خیر عطا فرمائے جس کے آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم اہل ہیں۔
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ وَأَبُوْ نُعَيْمٍ

’’حضرت عبد اللہ بن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما بیان کرتے ہیں کہ حضور نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے فرمایا : جس نے یہ کہا : ’’اللہ تعالیٰ ہماری طرف سے محمد مصطفی صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کو وہ جزائے خیر عطا فرمائے جس کے آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم اہل ہیں۔‘‘ تو گویا اس نے ہزار صبحوں تک ستر (ثواب لکھنے والے) فرشتوں کو تھکا دیا.‘‘

اس حدیث کو امام طبرانی اور ابونعیم نے روایت کیا ہے
