Being an Institute of national importance, NIRF Overall No.1 ranked educational institutions in the Country, IIT Madras considers it as a great opportunity and responsibility to further reach out to the
youth of this Country (not restricting to those who study at IIT Madras) to directly benefit. The fruits of education and knowledge need to be enjoyed by different strata of youth, who otherwise didn’t get an opportunity.

IIT Madras has been taking a number of initiatives that are aligned with the Hon’ble PM’s vision, such as #AnaivarukkumIITM (#IITMforAll), #Training the Trainers, #DESI (Democratizing
Education in Science), #Empowerment through Entrepreneurship, #Research& Development, #GlobalEngagement and activities like Rural Technology Centre, #KashiTamilSangamam, #G20 Summit
and so on.

#AnaivarukkumIITM/ #IITMforAll – Systematically opening up of minds of youth, enabling them to aspire and achieve. Addressing disparities in availability of quality resources that
will enable them to dream and be proud participants in #ViksitBharat through Rural Technology Centres, #Swayam, #NPTEL, #OnlineBSdegrees.

Training of Trainers – It is important to have quality teachers in #STEM. Providing easily conductible #Electronic kits for doing simple experiments.

#DESI (Democratizing Education in Science) – IITM has embarked on this so that the concepts in Science are simplified and available online. This will enable the youth to understand and exploit opportunities in life in a better manner.

Empowering the students to transform their dreams into reality through #Entrepreneurship, through by bodies like Centre for Innovation, IIT Madras, Nirmaan, IITM, supported by India’s largest Institution based #ResearchPark (IIT Madras Research Park) that provides good base for entrepreneurial talent, guided by IITM
academics, enabling them to be leaders in their domains.

#IITM leads in cutting-edge research in #EmergingTechnologies through its multiple Centres of Excellence.

#Youth is provided global exposure through the #academic collaborations with over 200 Universities that IITM has ties across the world. The #G20Summit hosted by IITM in January 2023, provided a great opportunity to the youth from across the Country to understand the progress made by different countries in the field of education and rural development and how the same could
be suitably adapted to fuel their aspirations in getting India’s rural standards to meet global standards.

IITM has been in the forefront in driving Initiatives like #KashiTamilSangamam and #EkBharatShreshthaBharat of the Govt. of India and thereby providing an excellent opportunity for India’s youth to explore and understand the cultural diversity and developments happening across the different regions of the Country.
