1 - Chemical sprays:
Ant Stop (https://amzn.to/3NgDfU8) (I recommended this to dozens of my customers with great feedback!)
Karlsten ant killer (https://amzn.to/3OlFM0A) - used in this video - good value when compared to professional products, however, the Ant stop is literally less than half the cost.

2 - Ant powder:
Zero in ant powder (https://amzn.to/3buy45S). I've personally also used Nippon ant powder (https://amzn.to/3HS2lYe).
Both are good, having used both over the years - if you venture into your local supermarket or budget store you may well find this cheaper.

3 - Ant spray:
"Raid" (https://amzn.to/3OlQUuD). These sprays use similar chemicals found in professional pesticides (sadly no longer available) so its good to see treatments for simply spraying on the spot

4 - Cinnamon:
If you don't need a lot, you will get the very best value on this at your local supermarket typically around £1 a jar (40 grammes usually) - however, you can buy larger-sized quantities online such as this one (https://amzn.to/3A4ELFP) which is the same size as 25 typical jars and works out to around 48p per jar - bargain! Great if you have a lot of mounds to deal with

5 - Diatomaceous earth:
Entopest Diatomaceous earth (https://amzn.to/3NuJ0hi) - What I LOVED about this method was its simplicity. As well as killing ants, it can also be used on cockroaches, bed bugs, booklice, fleas, ticks, red mites, crickets, ants, moths, beetles, casual intruders, and flies. Consider a face mask or dust mask when using this.

6: White vinegar:
Decco 500ml White Vinegar (https://amzn.to/3OoH7E0) - a simple and affordable way to get the ant numbers down! I wouldn't spray directly onto turf as you could stress the turf or even end up killing some of the turf. However, for any bare soil areas, this is an effective way. Use it freely also along runs outside your home, cracks and crevices, and for spraying directly down inside the ant mound.

7: Baking soda (Borax) & Powdered fine sugar:
Arm & Hammer baking soda (https://amzn.to/3bySJ92). Mix with a fine powdered sugar/icing sugar (https://amzn.to/39RWiGP).

8: Flooding
A BRILLIANT method. Simpy flood each mound with water for 15 minutes!.

9: Ant wars
If you have bare soil mounds simply use a shovel and scrape some of the earth from the top and go pop it on top of a different ant mound. All of a sudden you've created a war. The ants in mound 2 think that the new ants are invading their colony so they try to defend it, and their queen. The result is many ants will die, and the mound can no longer grow. Sometimes the mound reduces but in general use a simple sweeping brush to disperse andy newly made ant mounds.

10: Turfsolv
Available on our website here: https://lawnright.co.uk/product/turfs.... Turfsolv is an effective organic product that does a lot of good for your lawn. Its function is to provide optimum health and nutrient uptake but it also provides some protection from grub issues within the lawn. I found it sometimes helps control ant numbers too. For best results, you will want to apply to infested ant areas as often as weekly to gradually work on the reduction of ant numbers.

11: Ant bait stations (Bonus tip!)
Using Ant stop bait stations (https://amzn.to/3u3EZtc) (I wasn't able to show these in the video as there was a delay in shopping them to me) - you can control and reduce ant numbers in a very safe manner. The poison inside is kept safely away from pets and children. Note: not all bait stations are as good as each other! Stick to ones with great reviews. These ones from "Ant Stop" appear to work well when you look at customer reviews. I have to agree considering I've used their liquid ant stop product on my own customer lawns.

12: Bonus tip 2 - Brushing or water jetting
At the first sign of an ant mound use your brush to sweep the mound around so it no longer has a chance to form a hard lump on your lawn. You can also use your hosepipe to blast a jet of water at the mound to do the same thing.
