Mark Tremonti and Myles Kennedy perform an acoustic version of Mark’s song written for his mother, In Living Memory, from 2004’s mega-hit release One Day Remains.
Performed at The Signal in Chattanooga, TN, May 14, 2023, Sevendust kicked off the night opening for AB. Both bands were very much appreciated by this crowd as they each performed like they were playing to a packed arena.
Tremonti without a doubt is one of the most hard-working prolific guitarists ever, as well, as an accomplished songwriter, having been a founding member of Creed, Alter Bridge, and his own band, Tremonti, in which he gave Wolfgang Van Halen his first steady gig (outside of Van Halen) as bassist for Tremonti, after Wolf learned all of Tremonti’s songs in one evening to be able to tour with the band.
Kennedy is no light weight, either - as he easily shares the title of one of the best rock vocalists in the world, and is quite the accomplished songwriter and versatile guitarist, his work includes his pre-AB stint in The Mayfield Four, as the lead vocalist in Slash’s band, Slash featuring Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators, and on his own as Myles Kennedy. Scott Phillips and Brian Marshall, also formerly of Creed (who have now reformed releasing a new album called Stadium Anthems in February 2024) are talented musicians with staying power having worked in two chart topping successful rock groups for most of their careers.
