I've tested HTV heat pressed onto a spray painted tumbler before, including glitter HTV in small designs. But I've never tried tumbler pressing glitter HTV on as a full wrap, because I was always nervous that the super-sticky backing film would become adhered to the cup and pull of the spray paint when I unwrapped everything after heat pressing. I was advised to get special high-heat spray paint for grills, but I've resisted doing that because the colors of that paint are extremely limited. I wanted to get this to work with regular spray paint that comes in lots of color options. And it works!!! The key is to leave the spray painted tumbler alone for a couple days to let the paint fully set and bond onto the tumbler. Then even the incredibly sticky glitter HTV backing film will not pull up that paint. I've used black here, but any color of regular spray paint should work (in theory). The tumbler press gods laughed and laughed.
