Quick video to show you what you what might be making a knocking/ticking noise in your engine. 4.7L Dakota engine, 2002. Local shop told me it was rod bearing without ever pulling the valve covers or front timing cover. I purchased an entirely rebuilt long block, thinking it was a rod bearing. It was just a timing chain tensioner. Save yourself some time/money by pulling the valve covers and checking the lifters and timing chain before you thing the whole engine is lost. Feel free to respond with any questions.
