This video shows you various options for using a trailer hitch and bike racks on your Tesla Model S, including measurements for ground clearance to the bottom of the trailer hitch, to the bottom of the bike rack, and to the bottom of the bike tires. This video also shows in-motion clearance when driving over dips in the road with a bike rack and bikes mounted on the trailer hitch.

The trailer hitch shown in this video is a Torklift Ecohitch Stealth for the 2012-2021 Tesla Model S, item no. X7201, installed on our 2013 Tesla Model S with standard coil suspension.

I install a Maxxhaul 50397 Trailer Hitch Riser to the Ecohitch, and then show its use with a Maxxhaul 50025 Hitch Mount 2-Bike Rack and with a Yakima FullTilt Tilting Hitch 5-Bike Rack.

I also show various combinations of bikes mounted on the bike racks, with and without Yakima TubeTop bars, to give you a sense of how to mount your bikes and to ensure the largest tire-to-ground clearance for the bikes on the rack.
