Well if there is one thing the wife loves to do it is sing Karaoke. When this old CAVS unit started acting up by sometimes loading and sometimes not loading, I landed a new project. After some testing, I decided the Laser was going bad. You can buy a new drive or a new laser, but I decided to go down another ppath, and it worked for me. To find new drives or lasers that are drop-in replacements, do a search for the number on the drive. In my case: DSL-710A delivered several alternatives.
