Over 7000 American children have been killed due to gun violence in the past few years -- and that is 7000 too many. Join Hanna Kane, a former sophomore from Glencoe High School, on her exploration as to why gun violence -- especially school shootings -- is so prevalent in our society, and what we, as a community, can do to stop it. Hanna Kane is a sophomore at Glencoe High School. In her free time, she enjoys napping and spending time with her cats. Ever since she was diagnosed with anxiety about a year ago, she has been inspired to speak up and use her voice for those who have none, by participating in fundraising and recruitment events for local mental health organizations, and by helping develop curriculum for schools to advance their discussions surrounding mental health. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
