My previous video showed the rotating plasma being unstable. This was due to the aluminum rod being rough cut and the edges at the end not smooth causing an uneven electric field distribution.

It was expected and the first test just to verify it works. I then had the end of the rod milled flat then the edges polished to a mirror finish removing the small defects. This resulted in a stable plasma rotation.

Next time I need to video it in a dark room for best effect. :-)
