I will always remember 2019 as that year where I was ready to make the big "DRAGON BALL SUPER RETURNS!!!" video... and then didn't. And then I was SUPER ready a few weeks later... and didn't. Again. That process repeated about 7 times throughout the year! And so, I find myself here, frustrated, with today's video. Because it's time to tell that entire story, from my point of view, and boy... it's a doozy.

Join me as we explore the complete disappearance of Dragon Ball Super in the year 2019, from start to finish, with all the craziness in between. We'll attempt to figure out how exactly a multi-billion-dollar franchise like Dragon Ball basically took a year off during its absolute peak period of popularity. We'll attempt to explain WHY Dragon Ball vanished after the incredible hype of Dragon Ball Super's finale, the incredible hype of the Dragon Ball Super Broly movie, and a year where the franchise delivered record high sales for both Toei and Bandai Namco. Finally, we'll analyze the financial information, and try to put together all of the puzzle pieces from a bizarre, behind the scenes story that drove fan discussion for the entire calendar year. It's a tale almost too crazy to believe, and features an ending so disappointing that it's almost impossible to fathom... but I assure you, it's true! All of it!
