Compilation of railroad crossings that are on the Sacramento Regional Transit Light Rail Blue Line train route in a total of 23 grade railroad crossings protected by level crossing signals. You will also see various types of the systems light rail train cars Siemens Duewag U2A's, CAF, and ex-VTA's UTDC cars. This compilation is also an updated version to one I made already years ago but covering the crossings in an inbound direction order.

The beginning crossings at CRC, Center Parkway, and Franklin Blvd were built in 2015 part of the Blue Line Phase 2 extension of the line. Meadowview Rd also was a addition to the light rail back in 2015 but was already a crossing due to the neighboring freight train main line the Union Pacific Railroad Sacramento Subdivision former Western Pacific Railroad Feather River Canyon Subdivision. Meadowview Rd is a jointly owned crossing with UPRR and SACRT after 2015. 47th Ave crossing to S St crossing are also jointly owned crossings for UPRR and SACRT sharing the same two lines as previously mentioned. I mainly filmed from UP's side at the Meadowview, 47th Ave to S St jointly owned crossings. One of those crossings the 21st St & Freeport Blvd is slightly outdated because one of the gates had a minor change to its gate lights but I used a clip before that changed. The 47th Ave crossing to S St were additions to the SACRT system in 2003 when the Blue Line was built although were already railroad crossings due to the already existing freight line. 19th St crossing was also an addition to the SACRT light rail system in 2003 when the Blue Line was built also years before was already a crossing but was removed several years before the light rail was built.

The 17th St crossing to the 12th St & Whittney Ave crossing the Blue Line ties into the original light rail segment also known as the Gold Line so those are also Gold Line crossings and at 13th St crossing and 12th St & Whittney Ave is also the Green Line along with the Gold and Blue Line. 17th St to 12th St were also already crossing before the light rail was built also as there was a freight line that went abandoned before the light rail was built. The17th St crossing all the way to the the I-80 Ramp Entrance Crossing are original SACRT railroad crossings that were built in the 1980s with changes to them with the exception of the Richards Blvd, Oxford St, Evergreen St, and Yard Entrance Private Crossings as the Richards Blvd crossing was a new railroad crossing added in 2007 replacing a turn around lane crossing that was south of it. The Oxford St crossing was originally a crossbuck crossing with traffic signals until 2002 signals were added. The Evergreen St crossing isn't the original Evergreen St crossing as it was relocated a block away to its current location due to the realignment of the Blue Line in that area and the signals were rebuilt from the removed SACRT signals after being taken apart and put back together. The Private Yard crossing was originally a Wig Wag signal that was saved and kept in service from one of the freight line crossings SACRT took out building the light rail in the 1980s but unfortunately was put to rest in 2018 with its mast being cut short to make it into a gateless mast signal adding lights and a GS Type 3 E-Bell. This crossing also wasn't in my previous version of this compilation.

Crossings from Richards Blvd to the I-80 Ramp crossing also is apart of the original SACRT alignment but just the part the Blue Line took over. As you already know I'm planning on making the Gold Line version again which will be longer than this video as the Gold Line has more crossings then the Blue Line.
