Step by step guide to show you the techniques to turn a bad plastering job around and get it ready for painting. Clear guidance for the home DIY enthusiast.
In this video, I take you through the following steps:
1 - smoothing out dips in the plaster(like where the trowel has gone in a little deep)
2 - Fixing An Entire Wall That's Got Loads Of Dips & Bumps
3 - Tidying up the bits of plaster on the window recess corners (and other corners)
4 - Filling the gaps around the edges of plaster
If you've had a dodgy plastering job, or if you've just plastered yourself and it's not quite perfect, don't rush straight into painting it. You'll need to put in a bit of time and effort on the plaster first, mostly sanding but worthy of a quick tutorial.
