This was how we spent one day in Catania, covering the main sights. We arrived in the morning and left our luggage at the hotel before walking to the Piazza Duomo. From there we walked down Via Etnea, the main shopping street towards the Bellini Garden. The view of Mount Etna was not great due to the sandstorms arriving from Africa. For me the Fish Market was the highlight of Catania. We ate well and enjoyed the variety of cannoli and other Sicilian sweets from the pasticcerie.
