We are excited about another new addition to our robot fleet! Many thanks to Unitree for helping us procure this Go 1 platform for academic research. Like our other equipment, this Go 1 robot is a shared resource for our faculty members and will facilitate multiple research activities within our institute that target significant future funding.

Like the Spot robot, our initial focus for this robot will be on construction, inspection, and maintenance of civil infrastructure. As a more cost-effective platform we will look to deploy it in a wide range of industries including military applications, healthcare, and municipal services.

The addition of another quadruped robotic platform allows us to carry on several project simultaneously and have different robots assigned to tasks that they are best suited for.
