Selena Gomez just dropped her brand new song "Love On" and listeners have noticed that the melody in the intro sounds very familiar. This is because Love On actually shares a melody with 3 other songs. The first song is "Reckless" by Madison Beer (2021) which uses the melody in the chorus, the second song is Ode To The Mets by The Strokes (2020) which uses the melody in the verses and the final song is Zedd and Kehlani's song "Good Thing" (2019).

The reason these songs sound the same? They use very similar chords and the melodies are actually identical!
