Now, what happens after the children are taken from their parents? When is the next time the parents even see the child?
00:04:13
Jonathan Lynn: So if your child is taken, from a pursuant to an order from a judge, you get a court date, usually it's about two to three days where you have your initial court hearing in dependency court that's called your detention hearing. That's the first time you're going to see the judge, and parents are not allowed to see their children in that time period. So, a lot of times we'll get calls or would hear from parents who are in that situation where my child's just been taken from me. What happens next? , what's, what's this process going to be like? Because it's something they may never have been through before and they're having to try to figure that out.
