I hope all of you eventually get to do this: Moving up into a bigger airplane. Recently I have moved up into a Cessna P210 and this airplane is a big difference from my Cessna 177.

When I was talking to my pilot friends who fly 737s and other large jets they all said the same thing- that you have to treat this airplane like a little airliner. And that you do. The 210 is fast and it’s got a ton of power it’s got a 310hp engine on it a ton of torque is produced by this aircraft when it’s taking off and it is pressurized. That brings a whole set of new circumstances to your flying.

Now all of us know that we just don’t hop in an airplane and go flying and even if you’re going from a Cessna 177 to a 172 or from 150 to 172 it’s a different aircraft but jumping up to a Cessna P210 is a Unique experience.

The checklist in this plane is almost an inch thick. That includes all the emergency procedures and everything. There is a lot to the Cessna P210.

Now this plane has a ton of power so taking off is actually fun but you have to stand on that right rotor because this engine produces a ton of torque

And the Cessna P210 climbs like crazy ….

We were leaving Merritt Island and it was really busy so I took a right turn directly after takeoff but I was unfamiliar with the area and the delta around Patrick Air Force Base was right there and I turned directly into it so I had to immediately climb to 2500 feet . The Cessna P210 climbed at 1100 - 1500 fpm.

Yes! I bought an airplane! This program has some initial numbers and breaks down the monthly expenses. Owning an airplane can be affordable... but the upgrades.... That is what will get me. Watch this program to find out what ownership costs.

Have you always wanted to learn how to fly but now you are over 50? Get out there and start and learn! There are so many people in there 50's and 60's who are just starting to fly so what are you waiting for?
