McKelvey Lake is a 6 mile out-and-back off-road trail in Montana with a rewarding payoff that makes the rocky trip worth it.

On the way back from completing the 600 mile Washington Backcountry Discovery Route, we stopped by our friends Gen and Jon for a few days. We didn't expect such amazing hospitality! We got a small glimpse into what life in Montana is all about, along with a challenging off-road trail as icing on the cake.
