If we went the full range of the battery we would have likely gotten 235-255 miles range while towing 5,000+ pounds. This is a 25% penalty in range, not bad at all. Not sure what would happen when towing 10,000 lbs though, maybe 150 mile range or a ~50% penalty? These are the best towing numbers so far I believe. Without a load you can get about 320 miles if you hypermile it on the highway like we did later in this video. We also run into some more charging problems.
