R. Strauss: Concerto for horn and orchestra no. 1 in E flat major TrV 117 op. 11 (horn and piano reduction) - I. Allegro

Abstract:
In this fragment from Professor Baumann's Horn masterclass, we work on the beginning of the first movement. Baumann points out the differences between playing for an audition or in a concert: for the second case he advises breathing at certain points because it is better for the audience. They also review the rhythm of this first solo phrase. Then, they go on reviewing the tempo, phrasing, dynamics, and most important notes that require a bigger accentuation based on the character of Richard Strauss' music.
