In 1977 Richard Niles became the Musical Director of The David Essex TV series. One of the guests was Denny Laine, then in Wings. He was to perform his hit with the Moody Blues “Go Now”. Niles arranged it for his studio band which included young studio ace guitarist, Laurence Juber.
Niles wrote in a solo for Juber and shortly afterwards, Denny asked Laurence to become the new lead guitarist for Wings. Denny had a lot of fun as you can see from this performance, clearly smiling when Laurence steams in with his solo!
