Cajun Moon appears on JJ Cale's third album, Okie, released in 1974.

"Cajun Moon" are examples of the sound Cale was establishing for himself, often referred to as the "Tulsa Sound",

And I think this song has a mysterious quality to it.

I think the first time I listened to this was Maria Mulder's Cover. That was over 30 years ago.
I remember that it was included in Louisiana Love Call Me. Of course, I also liked J.J. Cale's version.

So, the reason I started working on this song was when I saw Robert uploading this cover on YouTube.

And, it was performed with his own unique color, expressing the elegance and charm of this song.

I saw it and came up with a lot of ideas.
Then I contacted Robert and suggested we collaborate on this song.

I've never met Robert in person, but I think his music, kindness, and relaxed atmosphere are wonderful.
Therefore, I also wanted to perform in a way that would support that.

The original video for this cover is Robert singing and playing the guitar by himself. Then, on top of that, I added my guitar, bass, and drums.

Because of this song, and the vibe that Robert gave it, I decided to play the guitar with Leslie speaker effects.

I think using Leslie was the right thing to do. I think that brought another dimension to the song and Robert's performance.

As a side note, it is a UAD product, and I think it was very effective.
