Henna is a plant-derived dye that's been used for body art and cultural celebrations for thousands of years. It can also be used to achieve a semipermanent color on the nails. Henna paste is applied on the nails in a thick and even layer. The nail is covered and left to dry for an hour or overnight. Once dried, the henna is peeled off, revealing a reddish-orange stain on the nails. Results last until the nails grow out.
