MV True Confidence, a Barbados-flagged and Greek firm operated 50,000-ton bulk carrier, was struck by Houthi missiles on March 6. 22 days later, the ship is yet to reach Oman for salvage and repairs. It was the first Houthi attack on a ship in Red Sea in which three people were killed and the second where a ship was completely ravaged. Earlier, British ship Rubymar had sunk in the Red Sea after an attack by Yemen-based and Iran-backed rebels. Bloomberg pieced together information which shows deadly new era for international shipping industry.
