Here you will see what is involved to replace a Wheel Speed Sensor on a 2006 Mercedes-Benz R500, which is a W251 Chassis. This procedure should work on most variations Mercedes-Benz vehicles of this era with slight differences.

My vehicle had an ESP/ ABS light on. Using a diagnostic code reader (scanner), I found a code for a wheel speed sensor. With a view of the live readings of all the sensors and a quick drive, it was seen that every sensor except the right rear changed value. This is a common cause of ABS/ESP warnings.

The parts can be found at a great price at autohausaz.com or Amazon.com. So check it out! I have been using them for years. (I am in no way affiliated or sponsored by this website)
