Inspite of the heat of the South Carolina summer, I dig down to the bones of our kitchen in our 1921 caftsman style house. In order to make everything striaght and level alot of framing needs to be redone, so let's pull out the old before bringing in the new. As near as I can tell, the kitchen was put in an area that was once a porch, so alot of the framing was poorly done. Not only am I bringing the framing up to standards, but also making it wider and taller!
