I'm working on a chain drive opener. If yours is a belt-drive you need a kit like this https://amzn.to/2zQnS4o (note the difference at the top). Remember to balance your garage door before doing this repair or at least test the balance to see if it is ok. I have other videos that show how to do that and I included the links to those videos below. After you are done replacing the gear and sprocket you will want to test and adjust the limits. The limits tell the opener how far you want it to open and how far you want it to travel when it closes. Again, I have a video on how to do that. See below.
