Adeline speaks about the concept of being second, and what we could learn from second-hand clothes. She starts by talking about the impact of fast fashion towards the world’s climate change. The focus is then moved towards what we could do as users to reduce our fast-fashion-related footprint on climate change. Adeline Ng is a social entrepreneur from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Adeline is also the founder of Fix Stitch, where she works with community tailors to make fashion last longer through repair and alteration. Adeline is passionate about sustainable fashion and social development. Her current venture, Revofa, is a movement that encourages community clothing renting among women through an online platform to support the reduction of water pollution and textile waste in our landfills. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
