Ross Hauser, MD and Danielle Matias, PA-C discuss hip instability conditions, including snapping hip, labral tears, bursitis, and others that share an underlying problem of ligament laxity. In our office, we use a combination of dynamic diagnostics, including motion x-ray, to identify the problem while the patient is moving and stressing the joint . When ligaments are too loose and allow destructive joint motion, Prolotherapy is the treatment we use to help the ligament heal and stabilize the joint, alleviating pain from joint instability.
