These sour cream cookies are the perfect treat for any occasion. They're soft and chewy with a delightful tang that comes from the sour cream. They're also easy to make, so you can whip up a batch in no time.

Ingredients for 16 large cookies:
1 egg
150g - granulated white sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract - optional
a pinch of salt
1 tsp baking soda
180g - sour cream
100ml - vegetable oil
450g - white all purpose flour
~1/2 cup dried sweetened cranberries - optional

For brushing cookies:
1 tbsp heavy cream or egg yolk
1 tbsp coarse brown or white sugar for decorating

Bake in preheated oven 340F (~170C) 25 minutes
