L-TWOO’s new hydraulic groupsets are incredible value, but how do they stand up to long term use?

So i’ve been using the L-TWOO RX 2x12 speed carbon groupset on my road bike for the last 6 months, and I've clocked up just over 2000km. I bought it from AliExpress, and compared to the mainstream options like Shimano 105 or Ultegra, it is VERY competitive in terms of price, but should you consider it?

The groupset was very easy to install, and It has been performing really well overall. The braking performance of the hydraulic disc brakes has been incredible, and the hoods are also very comfortable.

However it’s not perfect, and there are a couple of things worth delving into. The shifting performance, while good, does need some tweaking. The calipers have corroded slightly, and the shifters did initially rattle. BUT I still think it is an incredible option for a budget carbon road bike in 2023.

In this episode, I’ll give you a rundown of the groupset, demonstrate you what to look out for, and show you why it has impressed me so much!
