Probably the best game I've played since the Outer Wilds. And definitely the best action game I've played since DMC5.

One other minor criticism I opted not to mention is that game is relatively easy for a game of its kind. Still plenty hard. I died a ton on my first playthrough. But because the enemies can only attack on the beat, it becomes fairly easy to time your parries and dodges accordingly. Similar to the use of strings and defensive cancelling, it's one of those things fundamental to the game's design as a rhythm game that ultimately harms its action game half. But not to a degree that does too much damage. An acceptable limitation, I'd say. It's still quite a challenging game. So we gucci.

It was great to finally cover an action game in-depth again. I'm mostly known for Sonic these days. But these are the kinds of games I really want to talk about. These are the games my channel was made to cover. Lucky for me the Sonic series is also one of fairly in-depth action platformers. So they still fit. But I never wanted this channel to be a Sonic one. And I still fully intend to have action games become the focus again one day.
