Pepperdine’s proud legacy of supporting veterans and their families for more than 75 years has drawn thousands of current and former service members and their dependents seeking higher education and career opportunities to the University’s five schools. Since World War II, PeppVet has strengthened Pepperdine’s military-connected community by providing them access to Pepperdine's distinctive academic experience.

Dave Montoya, a military veteran and psychology graduate student, has been the beneficiary of the warmth and valuable support Pepperdine is known for. Inspired by the University’s mission of service and giving back, he is dedicated to assisting fellow student veterans facing adversity to ensure they have the necessary resources to accomplish their academic pursuits.
