Organic Poultry Farming is the process of raising chickens for meat, eggs, or feathers without
the use of antibiotics, artificial hormones, toxic pesticides, GMOs, and other harmful chemicals.

Organic farming is known as a sustainable way of farming because it focuses on animal welfare and the environment. Organic poultry farmers are required to produce feed at least 95% of which comes from organic sources. The birds have access to pasture and food that is free of antibiotics and hormones. The chickens must be fed with feed that contains no pesticides or herbicides and all agriculture operations must comply with animal welfare
regulations.

There has been a significant increase in demand for organic food in recent years due to people becoming more aware of what they eat. This creates opportunities for farmers to grow their business as well as for the chicken industry to transition towards an organic way of producing poultry.
