In this video I carry out a bench test of the Motenergy ME1507 motor with the Kelly KLS96601-8080IPS controller. I cover all steps needed to get the motor turning including the 12-volt system, high-voltage wiring, contractor setup, pre-charge resistor, connecting the motor to the controller, wiring of the controller electronics, and basic programming the controller to identify the hall angle and set the motor direction. This guide will show you everything you need to get the motor spinning for the first time!
