An EF1 tornado with wind speeds up to 95 mph touched down Tuesday morning at Smithville Lake in Kansas City's Northland, the National Weather Service confirmed. The tornado was on the ground in the Crows Creek Campground and continued along a 2.3- miles path across Camp Branch Campground and Collins Road before lifting near County Round W. No one was injured in the tornado, which was on the ground for about five minutes, however it wrecked a camper that a family was using as a temporary home.
