Come along for a festive camp and cook in New Hampshire's White Mountains as we say goodbye to the bus! We made some yummy Thanksgiving-themed food and tasted some yummy brews while shivering in the winter snow! It was freezing and empty in the mountains!!!
From my family to yours, have a Hoppy and Safe Thanksgiving!
Recipe:
Any stuffing mix, I'd say maybe only use half the package
3 cups Turkey Stock (much better than chicken broth!)
Shredded Turkey (rotisserie, pre-cooked chicken works great!)
Wonton wrappers
Oil
Sauce:
1/2 can Jellied, canned cranberry sauce
1/2 jar of Chili Sauce
Directions:
Set oil in pot on stove and get it to 350 degrees
Prepare the stuffing as the package specifies, using Turkey Stock (Chicken in a pinch)
Lay out wrappers and fill with equal parts stuffing and chicken (turkey)
Add them to the oil, maybe 3 at a time
Pull out and lay on a paper towel to drain when golden brown. Maybe 4 minutes flipping as necessary.
Sauce:
Mix equal parts Cranberry Sauce with Chili Sauce and serve. Many people like to use turkey gravy for the sauce. I prefer the sweetness.
Eating instructions: Grab a dank beer, make sure the fire is roaring and enjoy!
