Here is a video I shot from my room on a sleeper car aboard Amtrak train 14 heading north out of Los Angeles. I am not a professional videographer as can be seen from the video... I had the camera set to ultra wide so the fisheye effect is either cool or not depending on your perspective. But I thought I would share it and see what the reaction was. I highly recommend taking the Amtrak Coast Starlight from Los Angeles to at least Portland or on to the final destination of Seattle, in your own room in First Class, at least once in your life. The experience is unforgettable.
