We had PET CATERPILLARS that turned into BUTTERFLIES!!

What's up Kin Tin Krew! Today my family is going on a bug catching adventure! Dad surprised us with our very own pet caterpillars. We get to learn about being responsible by taking care of these caterpillars and helping them grow into beautiful butterflies! Since it takes a few weeks for the caterpillars to grow, we decided to go on a bug hunt to see if we could find butterflies at our house along with other rare bugs. We got all of our bug catching gear on and went outside. We brought hats, binoculars, vests, bug cage, tweezers, butterfly net and even a bug guide with a checklist. The guide had awesome pictures of bugs and even facts about bugs. It was so cool to learn about the bugs that we could find. It also came with a checklist so we could mark off the bugs we find. We really wanted to find ladybugs, butterflies, dragonflies and roly polys. We didn't really want to find mosquitos though haha We went on our search and first started looking under rocks. We found Roly Polys right away. Under rocks are a great place to look for bugs. We also found other bugs like, bees, beetles and worms. Then RoRo found a spider in the water spout just like in the song the Itsy Bitsy Spider! We still hadnt found a butterfly though so we kept looking. On our way to look for insects by the field we saw a bunny! It was so cute and RoRo loves bunnies! Dad made a joke and asked if Bugs Bunny was on our checklist haha silly dad. We finally got to the field and when RoRo went to climb up on the fence her hand landed on a grasshopper!! It started jumping everywhere and was hard to catch but we finally got it! We still hadnt found a butterfly yet and then all of a sudden RoRo ran somewhere... and from a distance we saw a beautiful huge butterfly flapping its wings and dancing!! We ran as fast as we could to catch it! You gotta watch to see if we caught the giant butterfly! We had so much fun catching bugs today and we were so excited to keep helping our caterpillars grow into butterflies. It took a few weeks but our caterpillars are now beautiful butterflies and we had so much fun holding them and then setting them free! Bugs are so fun to learn about and we hope you have fun learning about them too!
