Renovating a 200 year old cottage - what have we taken on?! First few days living in rural Ireland.

After the excitement of last week when we bought a house, this week we are settling into life in remote, rural Ireland. To get a better idea of exactly what we have taken on we visit @theirishhomestead who are tackling a huge renovation project of their own.
This is our first few days at our old little cottage, and we can't be more excited to start restoring it.
This week we start to clear the land and empty the house, ready for when we remove the plaster to expose the 200 year old stone walls. That's when we will really know exactly what is ahead of us, and spoiler alert, it's A LOT!
Stay tuned if you want to see just how bad these old chimneys and stone walls really are, it's gonna be some work that's for sure!!
