The 2002 Tampa Bay Buccaneers win their first Super Bowl in franchise history during the 2002-2003 NFL Season. The 2002 Tampa Bay Buccaneers season featured the Bucs having one of the best defenses in NFL history and posting a franchise record of 12-4. The Bucs defense scored 9 times (including playoffs), allowed only 12.2 PPG, and 252.8 YPG in the regular season. Derrick Brooks was named Defensive Player Of The Year. He had 4 defensive touchdowns (3 INT TD, 1 FUM RET TD), 117 Tackles, 1 Sack, 1 Forced Fumble, 5 Interceptions and 11 Passes Defended. In the playoffs the Bucs defeated the San Francisco 49ers 31-6, they finally defeated their nemesis the Philadelphia Eagles 27-10, and beat the Raiders 48-21 to win their first Lombardi Trophy.
