June 14 1990 Diana visited Whaley Bridge in Derbyshire, also attended the Festival of the Rose Queens to crown the three 1990 Rose Queens at the local marina. After the ceremony she was then escorted to a narrow boat the Judith Mary moored on the canal for lunch among the notables. She was introduced to the boat's owner, Rob Sharpe.
