So the bods at Skoda recently decided to take a jigsaw to their rather boxy Enyaq SUV in order to create this sleeker-looking version, the Skoda Enyaq iv Coupe, the iv means 'intelligent vehicle' in case you were wondering. However, the swoopier roofline has another more objective benefit, it improves aerodynamics and therefore efficiency, which in turn helps give the Enyaq Coupé to a longer range between charges. However, the main reason for the Enyaq Coupé's impressive range (officially up to 345 miles) is the fact it comes with a reasonably large 77kWh battery as standard. You can have the Enyaq Coupé with rear-wheel drive or four-wheel drive, which will improve traction and performance, but adds weight and means you won't be able to go as far on full battery as the two wheel drive version.
The Enyaq iv Coupe is available with two 'engine' options. Theres a 200bhp rear-wheel-drive 80, and the 260bhp four-wheel-drive Sportline 80X. Neither is as quick from 0-60mph as an equivalent Kia EV6 or Tesla Model Y, but the 80's time of sub seven seconds is reasonable. The 80X's official 0-62mph time of 6.6sec is also good, but if want even faster acceleration from your Enyaq Coupé theres the range topping Skoda Enyaq vRS.
The official range of the 80 is a rather impressive 345 miles, beating the equivalent regular Skoda Enyaq, plus the EV6 (328 miles) and even the Model Y Long Range (331 miles). The 80X has a shorter official range of 322 miles due to its twin motor setup.

Inside up front, theres a 13in touchscreen in the middle of the dashboard. It's packed with features, including Android Auto and Apple CarPlay smartphone mirroring as standard. There's loads of head room and generous leg room up front and the width of the interior means you won’t find yourself rubbing shoulders with fellow passengers in the rear.

All this tech and space comes at a price though, with the Enyaq Coupé coming in quite a bit higher than the regular Skoda Enyaq but the entry-level version still compares well with the Kia EV6 and the Tesla Model Y. It should be noted its also significantly cheaper than the Volvo C40 Recharge.

That entry-level 80 comes with plenty of kit for your money, including 19in alloys, front and rear parking sensors, a reversing camera, LED headlights, DAB Radio, Cruise Control & sat-nav, theres also the signature Skoda umbrella in the drivers door. Mind you, Skoda charges an extra £1,025 for a heat pump, while Tesla and Volvo include one as standard.

When it comes to charging you can potentially top up the battery from 10-80% in around 35 minutes if you use a quick enough charger. You can charge the Enyaq Coupe up to 135Kwh, that's not bad, but both the EV6 and Model Y Long Range can charge up quickly. A full (0-100%) charge at home using an11kW wallbox will take around seven hours.
Most components are covered by a three-year/60,000-mile warranty on parts, but the battery is covered for up to eight years with a 100,000-mile cap.Warranties can be transferred at no extra cost if you decide to sell your Enyaq Coupe before the warranty expires.

PCP finance deals are mercifully competitive, although the Model Y is likely to cost you slightly less per month in repayments. The Enyaq was awarded five stars out of five when it was tested for safety by Euro NCAP in 2021, plus every Enyaq Coupé comes with e-Call emergency assistance, automatic emergency braking (AEB), lane-keeping assistance, and traffic-sign recognition, however, you will need to upgrade to the Clever pack as a minimum to get blind-spot monitoring.
