Mashed Potato and Sausage
5 potatos
6-8 sausages
1 onion
Garlic to taste
Herbs (thyme, rosemary)

Wash, and dice potatoes. Set to boil on a back part of the stove.
Warm some oil in a pan and add sausages.
While the sausages cook, dice the onion, garlic and herbs.
Add all to the sausages and toss. Cook covered until sausages are ready.
Mash potatoes as usual, with milk and butter as desired.
Dice up sausages once cooked and add everything to the potatoes.

Apple Pie
2 apples (diced)
Other fruit as desired
3 cups flour
3 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp oil
1tsp salt
1 cup water
2 tbsp butter (room temp)
1/2 a lemon (juiced)
nutmeg and cinnamon to taste

Preheat oven to 180C.
Pastry: In a mixer, add flour, salt, 2 tbsp sugar, oil, and butter. Add water gradually as the mixer runs slowly until the dough comes together.
Knead for 5 min then set aside.
Filling: mix apple, other fruits, remaining sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg together. You may cook it first if desired (add cornflour now if you're going to!).
Cut rested dough into two sections, one 1/3 and the other 2/3. Oil your pie dish and roll out larger dough piece for the base. Line the dish with the dough and fill with the apple mixture.
Sprinkle lemon juice on fruit, then roll out the 'lid'. Place over pie and gently pinch edges shut.
Cut an X in the pie lid, and bake for 30-40 minutes. Allow pie to rest 15 minutes before serving.
