After watching this operation and talking to the workers it appears that Track Time replaces a set % or number of ties each year. By doing so many each year they improve the quality of the system without doing it all in one bite. We think that they are getting some government money, perhaps from the infrastructure bill. Here we show the machinery that removes spikes and ties and puts in new ones. A lot less labor involved than when this was all done by manual labor.
