Amid the controversy surrounding Maria's intake of the recently illegal drug substance meldonium, let us not forget the tremendous hard work, sacrifice and dedication that she has gone through to achieve what she has in her career. We have all made mistakes as human beings - whether how big or how small - and I think that some understanding rather than condemnation during a time like this would not hurt anyone.
